Abstract
This research is using research and development method. This study specifically develops a problem-based learning model that has a syntax that is directing students to problems, organizing students in learning, guiding individual investigations, presenting results, and analyzing and developing problem solving processes. The purpose of this research is to produce a problem based learning model in learning to write poetry at SMP Negeri 15 Palembang. The problem-based learning model for writing poetry for SMP Negeri 15 Palembang students was developed based on the results of a student needs questionnaire and an analysis of teacher needs. The validation test consists of material expert validation and linguist validation, researchers use material validation and language validation to find out whether the validation of the learning model itself is valid or not, this learning material expert validation obtains a maximum value of 32 Total scores obtained are 3, 16 with categories quite good, while the validation of linguists obtained a maximum score of 24 with a score obtained of 3.0 with a fairly good category. Based on the validation of material experts and learning linguists, problem based learning in learning to write poetry at SMP Negeri 15 Palembang is categorized as quite good.
