Abstract
This research was conducted at Experimental station of Agriculture Faculty Sriwijaya University Ogan Ilir. This Study was conducted in 4 months, from October to December 2017 used Randomized Complete Design. The treatments were M0 : soil, M1 : peat, M2 : soil + peat, M3 : soil + rice husks charcoal, M4 : peat + rice husks charcoal, M5 : soil + peat + rice husks charcoal. The treatment of various planting media for the growth of oil palm sprouts showed that the mixture of soil + rice husk charcoal (M3) with a ratio of 1:1 gave the highest results compared to the treatment of other media on the number of leaves, fresh weight of shoots, fresh weight of roots, dry weight of roots, root length, and number of roots.
