Abstract
The aim of this research was to observe the effects of combination of organic and inorganic fertilizers on the growth and yield of red rice (Oryza nivara L.). The research was conducted from May 2018 until November 2018 at Ilir Barat I, Palembang, Sumatera Selatan. The research used a Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) with 7 treatments. Each treatment had 3 replications and each experiment unit consisted of 3 plants so that totally there were 63 plants. The treatments were P1 = N, P, and K fertilizer 100%, P2 = long bean compost (125 g) + N, P, and K fertilizer 25 %, P3 = long bean compost (125 g) + N, P, and K fertilizer 50 %, P4 = compost of oil palm empty fruit bunch + N, P, and K fertilizer 25 %, P5 = compost of oil palm empty fruit bunch (125 g) + N, P, and K fertilizer 50 %, P6 = chicken manure (125 g) + N, P, and K fertilizer 25 %, and P7 = chicken manure (125 g) + N, P, and K fertilizer 50 %. The best treatment was compost of oil palm empty fruit bunch (125 g) + N, P, and K fertilizer 50 % (P5). The highest production was on P5, it was 5,49 ton ha-1.
