Abstract

This study discusses "Analysis of the Environmental Quality of Slum Settlement Communities in the Region Flats Urban Village 23 Ilir Palembang City". The purposes in this study order to know the level environmental quality the community slum settlement in the region flats urban village 23 Ilir, Palembang City. The samples in this research were 97 respondents, which were residents block of flats 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, and 8 taken by simple random sampling. The data collection technique used a survey method by means of share questionnaire to 97 residents blocks of flat 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8. This study used primary data obtained from questionnaires and the analytical technique used was independent sample t-test. The results of this study are that there is a significant gap between expectations and reality at the level of environmental quality of people living in the apartment area of 23 Ilir Village, Palembang City, with the results of the Independent Sample T-Test, it was found that the reality t value was 3,501 > t table 1,658 and the expected t value is 3.915 > t table 1.658. Based on the test criteria if expectations > reality, it can be interpreted that the level of environmental quality of the community in the 23 Ilir flats, Palembang City is classified as low.
