Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitin ini yaitu untuk mengetahui hubungan antara maternal optimism dengan resiliensi pada single mother. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan antara maternal optimism dengan resiliensi pada single mother. Partisipan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 100 orang single mother yang ada di Indonesia, sedangkan partisipan pada saat uji coba berjumlah 30 orang single mother. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan mengacu pada dimensi explanatory style pada optimisme dari Seligman (2006), dan mengacu pada komponen resiliensi dari Wagnild dan Young (1990). Analisis data menggunakan Teknik korelasi pearson product moment. Hasil analisis korelasi menunjukkan jika maternal optimism dan resiliensi memiliki nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (p<0,05) dengan nilai r= 0,681, artinya terdapat hubungan yang bersifat positif diantara kedua variabel. Dengan demikian, hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini dapat diterima.
