Abstract

Kabupaten Muara Enim merupakan salah satu kabupaten potensial untuk pertambangan batubara, bahkan pernah menjadi pusat pertambangan di provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memberikan informasi prospek batubara termasuk di kebun-kebun penduduk kepada warga sekitar. Penelitian ini mencoba mengaplikasikan metode geolistrik resistivitas untuk menyelidiki keberadaan batubara serta pola sebarannya. Konfigurasi yang digunakan adalah 2D Wenner dengan banyak lintasan 4 line masing-masing panjang 128 meter dan spasi elektroda 8 meter. Data hasil pengukuran diolah menggunakan software Res2Dinv. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diduga adanya batubara dengan rentang nilai resistivitas pada lintasan pertama 999 - 1854 Ωm, lintasan kedua 1470 - 3038 Ωm, lintasan ketiga 792 – 1415 Ωm, dan lintasan keempat 1871 – 3739 Ωm. Kedalaman lapisan batubara pada nilai 2-13 meter dengan ketebalan rata-rata 10 meter. Pola penyebaran batubara diperkirakan menyebar merata dari barat daya ke timur laut.
