Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peranan kontrol diri terhadap motivasi belajar pada siswa SMA pengguna TikTok. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah ada peranan kontrol diri terhadap motivasi belajar pada siswa SMA pengguna TikTok. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 200 siswa SMA pengguna TikTok di Indonesia. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua buah skala sebagai alat ukur, yakni skala motivasi belajar yang mengacu pada aspek motivasi belajar dari Chernis dan Goleman (2001) dan skala kontrol diri yang mengacu pada tipe kontrol diri dari Averil (1973). Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa ada peran kontrol diri yang signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar dengan r = 0,229 p = 0,000 (p<0,05). Dengan demikian hipotesis yang diajukan diterima.
