Abstract
Background: Increasing number of materials / substances conlained irritants in the environment so that the individual risk for irritant contact dermatitis is increasing. While the data rates of ICD, faclors - factors that influence, and the characteristics of this disease is not in the department of Moh. Hoesin Palembang. Objective: t o know the incidence of ICD,frequency distribution of the factors that influence (age, sex, history of atopy, and predilection) and the relationship between Establishments ICD with age and gender. Methods: This study was done by descriplive analytic study. Study sample 294 patients from totaled 1059 patients in the medical records division of allergy immunology, skin and venereal Dr Moh. Hoesin Palembang period October 2010 - October 2011. Samples were taken randomly by sistematic random sampling. Statistically data were analyzed with chi-square. Results: Obtained 65 patients (14.6%) experienced ICD, more women are 48 patients (73.8%) while men only 17 patients (26.2%), aged 19-59 years is the highest frequency that is a total of 46 patients (70.8%) , history of atopy themselves experienced by 22 patients (33.8%), whereas 43 patients (66.2%) had no history of atopy themselves, ICD most often found on the palms of 13 (20%), and there is no relationship between age and sex the incidence of ICD. Conclusion: Obtained the incidence of ICD by 65 patients (14.6%), frequency distributions are known factors that affect the ICD, and no relationship between age and gender with the incidence of ICD.
