Abstract

Marketing strategy is the company's plan to be able to introduce the product as widely as possible in order to reach target customers and sales. The objectives of this study are: (1) To determine the marketing strategy of fortivit Rice and premium Rice produced by Perum BULOG in Palembang, South Sumatra, (2) To determine the marketing comparison of fortivit rice and premium rice produced by Perum BULOG in Palembang, South Sumatra. This research was conducted in May 2022. The data was collected by interviewing Perum BULOG in the Commercial Sector and through a questionnaire in the form of a Google Form. The data is processed using SPSS software. The results obtained: (1) The product marketing strategy at Perum BULOG produces fortivit rice, namely innovative rice, containing vitamins that are useful for increasing stamina and immunity, and also producing premium 'Healthy Family Rice' rice, textured with fluffier rice with low amylose and high amylopectin levels. The price at Perum BULOG it self provides a price for 1 kg of fortivit rice for Rp13.000 and Rp10.500 for premium rice, this price applies to the retail price. Perum BULOG usually promotes its products through social media, conducts mass SMS, promotes through online or online buying and selling applications and conducts OPM (Cheap Market Operations). The marketing strategy is in the form of direct distribution of Perum BULOG and semi-direct distribution. (2) Comparison of the marketing of fortivit rice and premium rice there is a significant difference (significant) between the price of fortivit rice and premium rice, where the price of premium rice is more agreed by the respondents and the comparison of marketing in terms of products there is also a significant difference (significantly). between fortivit rice products and premium rice, where fortivit rice products are superior to premium rice.
