Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan Untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas VII pada materi penyajian data. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII dari SMP Negeri 17 Palembang. Pengumpulan data penelitian ini melalui tes yang kemudian dianalisis dengan empat indikator pemecahan masalah. Secara keseluruhan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa berada pada kategori cukup dengan rata – rata nilai siswa 47,40. Siswa yang berada pada kategori sangat baik sebanyak 6,25%, siswa berada pada kategori baik sebanyak 15,63%, siswa berada pada kategori cukup sebanyak 46,88%, siswa berada pada kategori kurang sebanyak 18,75%, dan siswa berada pada kategori sangat kurang sebanyak 12,50%. This study aims to determine the problem-solving ability of class VII students in the material for presenting data. This type of research is descriptive research. The subject of this study was a grade VII student from SMP Negeri 17 Palembang The data collection of this study was through tests which were then analyzed with four indicators of problem solving. Overall, students' problem-solving ability is in the sufficient category with an average student score of 47.40. Students who were in the excellent category were 6.25%, students were in the good category as much as 15.63%, students were in the sufficient category as much as 46.88%, students were in the less category as much as 18.75%, and students were in the very less category as much as 12.50%
