Abstract

Price transmission analysis is an analysis that can describe the extent of the impact of changes in the price of goods at one market level on changes in the price of that item at another market level. Price transmission in this study was carried out to determine the extent to which changes in international rubber prices will affect changes in rubber prices in different marketing channels at both UPPB and Non-UPPB levels. This study aims to (1) Describe the development of natural rubber prices at the farmer level at different marketing channels in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, (2) Analyze the transmission of natural rubber prices at the international level to natural rubber prices at the farmer level at different marketing channels in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, (3) Analyze the factors affecting the movement of farmers' natural rubber prices in international trade in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The data used are primary and secondary data. The method used is a regression analysis of panel data with the help of the Eviews 12 program to obtain a comprehensive picture of the transmission of rubber prices at the UPPB and Non-UPPB farmer levels to rubber prices at the factory and International levels. The data used is data from October 2021 to February 2022. The results showed that the price of rubber at the international level against the price of rubber at the UPPB and Non-UPPB levels has not been transmitted perfectly where the coefficient value produced by THE UPPB is 0.158%, while the value of the Non-UPPB coefficient is 0.145%, this shows that the elasticity value of price transmission is smaller than <1. This is influenced by the differences in KKK between UPPB and Non-UPPB with factories and international parties. Meanwhile, the factors that affect rubber prices at the UPPB and Non-UPPB levels are the price of International rubber, the rupiah exchange rate and the world oil price.
