Abstract

ABSTRACT Based on the results of the coordination between the Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (BPJS) of Lubuk Linggau City with the Regional Government (Pemda) of Musi Rawas Utara Regency in 2019, there are still 40% of rural people who do not participate in BPJS and health insurance. The problem of not being able to reach the entire population of Indonesia, especially rubber farmers in the Musi Rawas Utara area in the JKN program, needs serious attention from the government in achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC). This study uses a qualitative descriptive method which will be measured on three dimensions, namely knowledge, information seeking and self-efficacy to explain the picture of literacy about health insurance for rubber farmers in Musi Rawas Utara. In this study, the informant's knowledge was at the application stage, while in the information search dimension most of the informants had the urge to use media or other media in digging up information, as well as strong informants' self-efficacy so that the information they had could be used for decision making. Based on this description, it can be concluded that the picture of insurance literacy among rubber farmers in the Musi Rawas Utara area is quite good. Even so, it is still necessary to optimize the coverage of information for rubber farmers who have not been able to maximize knowledge, and have not utilized information media optimally.
