Abstract

Stroke adalah gangguan fungsional otak sebagian atau menyeluruh yang timbul secara mendadak dan akut yang berlangsung lebih dari 24 jam, yang disebabkan oleh gangguan peredaran darah otak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor resiko penyakit stroke pada usia muda. Metode: Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian deskriptif observasional. Sampel penelitian adalah Seluruh pasien yang datang ke rawat inap Bagian Neurologi Rumah Sakit Mohammad Hoesin Palembang pada periode Januari 2012 sampai Desember 2012. Variabel yang diteliti adalah umur, jenis kelamin, hipertensi, diabetes melitus, penyakit jantung, kadar kolestrol total, kadar HDL, kadar LDL. Data yang terkumpul disajikan dalam bentuk tabel beserta deskripsinya. Hasil: Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan jumlah sampel sebanyak 38 pasien stroke pada usia muda. Usia terbanyak penderita stroke terdapat pada usia 35-45 tahun, jenis kelamin laki-laki paling banyak menderita stroke, hipertensi dan kadar kolestrol yang tinggi merupakan penyebab terbesar stroke. Kesimpulan: Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada umumnya, pasien stroke memiliki tekanan darah dan kadar kolestrol yang tinggi dan juga ada beberapa pasien yang mempunyai riwayat penyakit lainnya yaitu, diabetes melitus dan penyakit jantung.
