Abstract

Ptosis/blefaroptosis adalah jatuhnya kelopak mata dibawah kedudukan normal. Biasanya pasien mengeluh lelah, pandangan kabur dan sekresi air mata banyak. Hal ini sangat menyulitkan pasien dalam melakukan aktivitas sehari-hari seperti membaca, berkendaraan, dan lain-lain. Komplikasi ptosis yang paling sering berupa ambliopia yang dapat memperburuk penglihatan pasien. Di Indonesia, belum ada data mengenai prevalensi blefaroptosis sehingga penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui prevalensi blefaroptosis di Poliklinik Mata RSMH Palembang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif observasional dengan pendekatan potong lintang. Terdapat 11 pasien didalam penelitian ini, dengan prevalensi penderita blefaroptosis periode Juli 2010-Juni 2011 sebesar 0,08%, Juli 2011-Juni 2012 sebesar 0,055%, dan Juli 2012-Juni 2013 sebesar 0,079%. Pada penelitian ini, etiologi terbanyak adalah traumatik 54,5% dengan jumlah pria lebih banyak. Semua ptosis yang dialami adalah unilateral dengan derajat ringan yang terbanyak 45,5% dan ptosis dapat dialami oleh semua kelompok usia.
