Abstract
This study aims to produce a learning path with a virulent Euglena proliferationcontext that can help students understand logarithms. The subject of this researchis the students of grade X SMA N 1 Tanjung Raja, South Sumatra, Indonesia. Theresearch method used is design research, which consists of three stages: preparationstage, teaching experiment stage, and retrospective analysis stage. In this study,Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) was developed from a series of learningactivities using the Euglena viridis proliferation context and solving problems withlogarithms and logarithmic properties. Theoretical development is carried outthrough an interactive process between the three phases of design research aimedat contributing to local Instruction Theory to help students study the material oflogarithmic form and the logarithmic multiplication properties. Data collectiontechniques used are through, interviews, video recording, and photos and providepretest and posttest. Then Actual learning students during teaching experimentscompared with HLT that has been designed researchers. At the informal stage, contextual issues are used as a starting point for learning to explore students'knowledge. From the results of retrospective analysis shows that in the formal stage students can understand the form of logarithms and logarithmic properties and solveproblems related to logarithms and logarithmic properties.
