Abstract
Electrical energy very important in daily life for activity. PV Power Plant System is a power plant that utilization solar energy as a source of energy and also can be alternative energy for reduce fossil fuel use. DC LED Lights is one of the light that has excess to be used as lighting especially for room. The utilization of solar cell panel in Pesantren Darul Tauhid Indralaya purpose to determine lighting installation in Pesantren and do testing the solar cell panel. The methods used in this study is descriptive analysis by using rooms size then will be designed the lighting installation and an experimental method by testing solar cell panel. The calculation of this installation is total 57 armature with luminance 2840 lumen. The total load capacity of installation is 570 Watt by using electrical source is 6 units solar panel 100 Wp and solar battery 500 Ah. The testing of solar cell panel is done for seven days from 08.00 A.m to 17.00 P.m. It is obtain the average voltage of solar panel 16,05 volts, the average current of solar panel is 2.03 amperes, and the average power is 32,75 watts. The battery charging connected to solar charge controller with average voltage 12,63 volts can supply the light for 10 hours.
