Abstract

The background of the research is the gap between the two social classes which different, namely the upper social class and the lower social class of women in a feature that entitled The Copy of Light. These differences lead to gender inequality for women who continue to be bullied. The research aims to see how signs and symbols shown in films, so that they can represent social class the woman. The approach used in this study is a qualitative method, with data obtained through primary data, viewing the sequence in the Light Copying film in the form of photos and secondary data through previous research, books, relevant journals. The theory that The method used is John Fiske's semiotics with the level of reality, the level of representation, andthe level of ideology. The results of this study indicate that the representation of women's social class of the main character in the film Copy Light belongs to the lower social class group which shows simplicity, received sexual harassment behavior.
