Abstract

This study aims to determine the physical condition and basic techniques of wrestling athletes at the Sriwijaya State Sports School. This research belongs to the type of descriptive research with the method used is a survey method using measurement tests and observation tests. The sample used by wrestling athletes at the Sriwijaya State Sports School was 16 athletes. Data collection in the physical condition test survey used a measurement test with the Indonesian Physical Fitness Test (TKJI) method, while the basic technical survey was carried out by observation. The test results of the overall physical condition of the Sriwijaya State Sports School wrestling athletes with the TKJI instrument showed that 2 male athletes were in the good category with a percentage of 18.18%, 6 male athletes were in the moderate category with a percentage of 54.54%, 3 male athletes were in the poor category with a percentage of 27.27%. while the physical condition test on female wrestling athletes showed that 1 female athlete was in the good category with a percentage of 20% and 4 female athletes were in the moderate category with a percentage of 80%. In the overall basic technique test of the Sriwijaya State Sports School wrestling athletes, 15 athletes were in the good category with a percentage of 93.75% and 1 athlete was in the moderate category with a percentage of 6.25%. In general, the level of physical condition of the Sriwijaya State Sports School wrestling athletes is in the moderate category and the basic technique of the Sriwijaya State Sports School's wrestling athletes is in the good category.
