Abstract
The intensity of rainfall in Pagaralam City can be categorized as high each year, the condition of high rainfall intensity in the Pagaralam City area can cause several disasters such as landslides and floods. Therefore we need a rainfall prediction system that is able to predict rainfall in Pagaralam City. Information about rainfall will make the community ready for future disasters and support local community activities. The purpose of this study is to apply machine learning to obtain a model that is able to predict rainfall in Pagaralam City using the random forest. The data used in this study is daily weather data from the NASA POWER website. The results of the prediction of rainfall in the form of labeling rain or not rain which are visualized with a confusion matrix so that the value of is obtained accuracy 83, 47%, precision 88,68% and recall 90,98%.
