Abstract

Dandy Abizar Pamungkas 09040581822028 Abstrak Fokus dari penelitian ini adalah router yang banyak digunakan untuk membuat koneksi jaringan wireless dan sudah ada protokol yang memiliki sifat khusus yang meningkatkan throughput. Protokol yang dimaksud adalah protokol Nstreme, yang mendukung kecepatan data sangat tinggi dengan overhead protokol rendah per frame, tidak ada batasan protokol pada koneksi, dan tidak ada pelambatan pada koneksi jarak jauh. Dengan latar belakang diatas maka dibuatlah konsep untuk mengimplementasikan jaringan wireless point to point pada router menggunakan protokol nstreme dan membandingkan throughput protokol IEEE 802.11 dengan protocol nstreme menggunakan wireless point to point. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa jaringan wireless point to point berhasil diimplementasikan menggunakan protokol nstreme, dan menjalankan nstreme pada router RB951Ui-2HND. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian speedtest.net dengan menggunakan protokol nstreme lebih baik dibandingkan dengan protokol IEEE 802.11, dan nilai throughput yang didapat dengan protokol nstreme lebih baik dan lebih stabil. Kata kunci : Nstreme, IEEE 802.11, Throughput, Wireless Point to Point.
