Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the variable adoption and use of Instagram social media on the quality of public services at the South Sumatra Province Trade Office. The method used in this study is quantitative which is processed using the SPSS application. The sample of this study were 48 employees of the South Sumatra Provincial Trade Office and 95 followers of the Instagram account @dinasperdagangsumsel. The data collection technique used is the questionnaire method. The results showed that variable X1, namely the Adoption of Instagram variable, had a partial effect on the Quality of Public Service (Y) with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, which means that it had a significant effect on variable Y. On variable X2, the variable Use of Instagram Social Media had a partial effect on Public Service Quality (Y) with a significance value of 0.004 <0.05 which means it has a significant effect on variable Y. In addition, Adoption of Instagram Social Media (X1) and Use of Instagram Social Media (X2) have a joint or simultaneous effect on Quality Public Services at the South Sumatra Province Trade Office with an Fcount of 47.635. While the value of Sig. F 0.000 <0.050 then the regression analysis model is significant. Keywords: Adoption, Use of Instagram, Social Media, Quality of Public Service
