Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional maturity and career decision making in class XII students of SMA Negeri 2 Palembang. This research is a study that uses a quantitative approach with the correlation method. Data collection techniques in this study used data collection in the form of a Likert scale. The population in this study was 160 students and the sample was taken using the "proportional random sampling" technique with a total of 62 students as the research sample. The data analysis technique in this study is to use the pearson product moment formula. From the results of data analysis, it shows the relationship between emotional maturity and career decision making. The correlation coefficient (rxy) is obtained with a value of 0.531 as rcount and the number of 62 respondents with a significant level of 5% means that the rtable value is 0.250 so that the hypothesis test is rcount > rtable, so H0 is rejected, H1 is accepted. . Thus the degree of correlation is in the moderate/high enough range according to the coefficient interval of 0.15-0.799, so that emotional maturity with career decision making shows that these variables are in the same direction, that is, if emotional maturity has increased, it will be followed by a ripe selection of career decisions.
