Abstract
Automatic Identification System or commonly called AIS is a system found on ships with the aim of sending or receiving information electronically and automatically about ship data. AIS can be received using a variety of AIS receivers, one of which is DVB Stick USB. DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting) Stick USB is a small digital TV broadcast receiver that functions as a digital TV frequency tuner in the area around the receiver. Position data can be received by DVB Stick USB and then the accuracy level will be sought by comparing position data from MarineTraffic. So that from a total of 180 ship positions obtained, the average distance difference is 4.01 meters with the average accuracy rate obtained is 99.9964%, with the lowest accuracy rate of 99.9858% and the highest accuracy rate of 100%.
