Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengukuruan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa pada materi mekanika dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang dikelompokkan ke dalam tujuh proses kognitif yaitu menafsirkan (interpreting), memberikan contoh (exemplifying), mengklasifikasikan (classifying), meringkas (summarizing), menarik inferensi (inferring), membandingkan (comparing), dan menjelaskan (explaining). Instrumen tes yang digunakan yaitu berupa soal tes pilihan ganda sebanyak 30 butir soal. Instrumen tes terdiri dari dua instrumen soal Mechanics Baseline Test (MBT) dan 28 instrumen milik Kistiono (2014). Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan: 1) Rata-rata persentase tingkat pemahaman konsep mahasiswa paling tinggi berada pada kategori proses kognitif menafsirkan (Interpreting) yaitu sebanyak 57.45%. Sedangkan rata-rata persentase tingkat pemahaman konsep paling rendah berada pada kategori proses kognitif merangkum (Summarizing) yaitu sebanyak 34.04%, 2) Pada soal nomor 14 memiliki persentase soal yang paling banyak dijawab benar oleh mahasiswa yaitu sebanyak 72.34%. Sedangkan pada soal nomor 22 memiliki persentase soal yang paling sedikit dijawab benar oleh mahasiswa yaitu sebanyak 12.77%.
