Abstract

This study aims to examine the factors that influence dividend policy. Using a panel data approach, this study places the factors of liquidity, leverage, profitability, growth, firm size, and ownership structure as independent variables consisting of CR, DER, ROE, growth, firm size and institutional ownership. Dividend policy as the dependent variable with dividend payout ratio as a proxy. The period covered in this study is from 2011 to 2021. Data was collected from financial reports accessed from the Indonesia Stock Exchange official website. The results of the study show that CR, ROE, and Size have a positive and significant effect on the dividend payout ratio. Growth has a negative and significant effect on the dividend payout ratio. In addition, a statistically insignificant relationship was found between DER and dividend payout ratio.
