Abstract

THE RESEARCH HYPOTHESIS IS THERE IS A RELATIONSHIP. THIS RESEARCH USES 200 STUDENT PARTICIPANTS, AND USES 50 STUDENTS FOR THE TRIAL. THE SAMPLING TECHNIQUE USED WAS PURPOSIVE SAMPLING. THE MEASURING TOOLS USED ARE THE ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVATION SCALE REFERRING TO THE ASPECTS OF ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVATION BY MC CLELLAND (1987) AND THE COPING STRATEGY SCALE REFERRING TO TYPES BASED ON LAZARUS AND FOLKMAN (1984), WHICH CONSIST OF PROBLEM FOCUSED COPING AND EMOTIONAL FOCUSED COOPING DATA ANALYSIS USING REGRESSION SIMPLE LINEAR. RESULTS OF SIMPLE LINEAR REGRESSION ANALYSIS OF DATA OBTAINED FROM STUDENTS CLASS OF 2020 AT SRIWIJAYA UNIVERSITY RELATED TO ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVATION AND COPING STRATEGY, THE FIRST BETWEEN ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVATION AND COPING STRATEGY (PFC) WITH A SIGNIFICANCE OF 0.110, SECOND BETWEEN ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVATION AND COPING STRATEGY (PFC) ) WITH A SIGNIFICANCE OF 0.133.
