Abstract

In Indonesia, rubber was made into agribusiness on a large scale in 1902 on the island of Java and grew rapidly. Indonesia itself is a country with the largest plantation area, but Indonesia occupies the second position in rubber plantation production after Thailand. Rubber plantations in Indonesia are around 2.8 million hectares or 88% of which 78.9% of the plantations are owned by the people. There are many factors that cause rubber production in Indonesia to be less than optimal, one of which is disease. One of them is Pestalotiopsis sp.leaf fall disease. Appeared at the end of 2017 in rubber plantations in the Sumatra region, the severity of this disease is quite high which attacks all plant clones and leaves fall of more than 90%. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of infectivity of the Pestaloptiopsis sp. isolate. the origin of some rubber clones. This research was conducted using a completely randomized design in the experimental field of plant pests and diseases from August to December 2022. The results of this study indicated that the fungus Pestalotiopsis sp.attacked all plant clones where the lowest attack intensity occurred in PB 330 (E) of 0.55 cm and for the highest intensity was in the Avros 2037 (D) treatment of 4.48 cm. With an average attack percentage of 76.09%. However, further tests need to be carried out using more clones to find out which rubber clones have a low susceptibility level.
