Abstract

Sexual harassment and violence often occur in Indonesia. The level of violence and sexual harassment continues to increase every year. Many victims of violence and sexual harassment do not dare to disclose directly in the environment because of fear of judgment and ostracism to the victim. The purpose of this research is to invite existing victims of violence and sexual harassment to be brave and fight against sexual violence and harassment by voicing it through the social movement hashtag #sayajuga. This study provides an in-depth analysis of content analysis from the replies of victims of violence and sexual harassment to threads on the @tunggalp account page regarding the #sayajuga social movement to the success factors of social movements based on new social movement theory. The results of this study show that Twitter is a safe social media for freedom of expression and telling stories and also for allows victims of violence and sexual harassment to freely disclose and open up.
