Abstract

Drugs to be existential threat, approved with development from the circulation in the year of 2018-2021 which increased significantly. One of them is the province of South Sumatera which is a drugs warehouse from abroad by sea. BNNP Sumatera Selatan one of the securitization actor which facing threat from drugs circulation in South Sumatera Province, this research is supported by the theory of securitization with focus on existentian threat by Barry Buzan and the concept of national security, human security and indicator of vulnerable area which take from Indonesia Drugs Report. This type of research is qualitative in the form of processing the data contained in the analysis unit explained into descriptive sentences, the data sources used are primary data derived from personal interviews and secondary data used library research from journals, reports or information from official websites, data collection techniques the data used is through informant interviews and literature studies. The results of this study state that the existential threat from drug trafficking in the BNNP Sumatera Selatan looking by indicator of vulnerable area which from key indicators and supporters affects several sectors within national security in economic sector which threatened through money laundering from drugs crimes and social sector which threatened through violence, theft, etc. For human security threatened by economic sector and personal.
