Abstract

This study examines the "Socio-Economic Conditions of Matras Beach Traditional Fishermen Families in Matras Village, Sungailiat District, Bangka Regency". The research problem discussed in this study is fishermen’s families social and economic conditions. The social conditions in this study examine the social relations that develop between fishermen, while the economic conditions examine the financial activities of traditional fishing families. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods using a case study strategy and data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study will show the socio-economic conditions of traditional fishermen, starting from mutual assistance between fishermen, the pros and cons of KIP/PIP, resolution of community tensions that are pros and cons of KIP/PIP, fishermen's economic activities, fishermen's income to the welfare of fishermen's families.
