Abstract
One of the more rapid advances in livestock reproductive technology is sperm sexing, which can separate X and Y chromosome sperm, which aims to increase reproductive efficiency in running a cattle business. The decrease in the quality of spermatozoa after sexing is common due to the centrifugation process. This study was conducted with the aim of conducting an experiment or evaluation of the 5-10% albumin column sexing method with different incubation times and not using the centrifugation process to improve the quality of spermatozoa. This research was conducted from August to October 2021 at the Sembawa Animal Feed Forage Nursery (BP-HPT) Sembawa Banyuasin, South Sumatra. The material used in this study was fresh semen of Simmental cattle which was treated with incubation time, namely P1 = incubation time of 40 minutes, P2 = incubation time of 50 minutes, P3 = incubation time of 60 minutes, repeated 4 times. The deign used in this study was a Completely Randomixed Design (CRD) and Duncant’s Range Test (DMRT) follow-up test, theparameters observed were abnormali before cloting, abnormalitas after cloting and Intact Plasma membrane. The resuld of this study showed that according to a completely randomized design test (CRD) abnormalitas and intact plasma membrane had no significant effect (p>0,05), an increase in abnormalitas after cloting was quite high, where the percentage execeeded 20% in each treatment
