Abstract

Ekspor telah memiliki peranan penting dalam menunjang perekonomian suatu negara termasuk Indonesia. Berbagai provinsi di Indonesia memiliki potensi sarang burung wallet salah satunya adalah Sumatera Selatan. Beberapa Kabupaten/Kota di Sumatera Selatan memiliki penghasilan besar atas burung wallet untuk menjadi penunjang pendapatan daerah yang kompeten dan unggul. Tetapi, meskipun Sumatera Selatan memiliki jumlah peternak wallet yang memumpuni terdapat banyak kendala salah satunya adalah Sumatera Selatan belum mampu melakukan ekspor sarang burung wallet secara mandiri dan harus melalui pihak ketiga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif melalui konsep competitive advantage yang terdiri dari empat indikator yaitu factor conditions, demand conditions, related and supporting industries dan firm strategy, structure and rivalry. Melalui penggunaan konsep tersebut didapatkan jawaban dari pertanyaan pada penelitian ini. Kata Kunci : Ekspor, Sarang Burung Walet, Tiongkok, keunggulan bersaing, Strategi pemerintah Sumatera Selatan.
