Abstract

The search of this thesis is entitled "Communication Patterns of K-pop Fans of "Seventeen" as Cyberfandom on Twitter". The aim is to find out how communication patterns occur on social media among the Seventeen K-pop community and also to find out the communication behavior that occurs on social media among the Seventeen K-pop fan community. The model used in this study is a descriptive model with qualitative data types and is supported by a constructivist paradigm and uses ethnographic research methods of communication. Data collection techniques in research are documentation studies, in-depth interviews, and observations. The object of this research is the K-pop Seventeen fan community and the subject of this research is the members of the K-pop Seventeen fan community, totaling 4 people. Data analysis using data analysis techniques in ethnographic research proposed by Craswell in Kuswarno, namely by description, analysis and interpretation. The research results obtained from members of the K-Pop Seventeen fan community who interact on Twitter are repetitive communication patterns. This pattern is called the Circular Communication Pattern. There is also a structure of communication patterns within the group, namely Circle Structure and Star Pattern Structure.
