Abstract
This study aims to determine the best dosage of cow manure to support the growth and yield of Lettuce plants. This research was conducted from September 2022 to October 2022 at Kertapati Palembang City, South Sumatra. This study used a randomized block design (RBD). With 5 treatments and 3 repetitions. The treatment consisted of S0 = control or without cow manure, S1 = 200 grams of cow manure per plant, S2 = 400 grams of cow manure for planting, S3 = 600 grams of cow manure for planting, S4 = 800 grams of cow manure for planting. The parameters observed in this study were plant height, number of leaves, green level of leaves, leaf area, root length, fresh weight of roots, fresh weight of stems, fresh weight of leaves, dry weight of roots, dry weight of stems and dry weight of leaves. The results showed that the dose of using cow manure on lettuce plants did not significantly affect the parameters of plant height, leaf greenness, leaf area, root length, fresh weight of roots, fresh weight of stems, fresh weight of leaves, dry weight of roots, dry weight of stems and leaf dry weight and only had a significant effect on the observed parameters of the number of leaves on the 12th and 22nd days, while the observation of the number of leaves on the 17th day had a very significant effect.
