Abstract

The purpose of this study was to (1) Analyze the price level fluctuations of staple foods in Lebak Pering Village, South Pemulutan District, Ogan Ilir Regency. (2) Measuring farmers' perceptions of fluctuations in food prices in Lebak Pering Village, South Pemulutan District, Ogan Ilir Regency. This research was conducted from January to February 2022. The research method used in this study was a survey method. Determining the number of samples used in this study is a simple random sample method (simple random sampling) to respondents in Lebak Pering Village. The data used in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. The results of this study indicate that fluctuations in the price of staple foodstuffs in South Sumatra Province will also be followed at the district to village level, one of which is Lebak Pering Village with a trend of increasing price fluctuations. The highest average price occurred in March 2021. The total average value obtained for all indicators of fluctuations in food prices is 28.20 with moderate criteria, because it is in the interval 26.67 x ≤ 36.67. As for the moderate criteria, most farmers even though there are fluctuations in staple food prices, are still able to meet basic food needs, even if only modestly.
