Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of managerial ownership and investment opportunity set on the firm 's value. The population of this research is family companies listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the years 2008-2016. The samples method used on this study is purposive sampling method Based on this method, there are 12 companies used as sample. This research uses software IBM SPSS version 21 as the instrument to test the hypothesis. The data analysis method/or this research is multiple regresion analysis. The results of this study reveals that managerial ownership does not have effect on firm's value, while investment opportunity set significantly effect on the firm's value. The limitation of this study is sample taken 12 companies only and the sample is not differentiate for each sectors. The reseacher expect that the next study can add the number of sample and choose family's companies in certain sector.
