Abstract

Clean and healthy living behavior is a strategy to create independence in achieving health, living habits with unhealthy and bad lifestyles can lead to health problems. Schools are educational institutions that are targeted at clean and healthy living behaviors. The clean and healthy life implementation rate, especially for school children, is still relatively low at 35.8% and is far from the target of educational institutions of 70%. This study aims to analyze the relationship between knowledge, attitudes and facilities, and infrastructure with clean and healthy living behavior in elementary school children in the Working Area of North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. This type of research used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional study approach, the number of samples was 126 respondents and the sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used the chi-square test. The results showed that the implementation of clean and healthy living behaviors in elementary school children in the Working Area of North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency totaled 126 people (52.4%), the bivariate analysis found a relationship between knowledge (p-value = 0.003), attitude (p-value = 0.006), and facilities and infrastructure (p-value = 0.009) indicate a relationship with clean and healthy living behavior. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the implementation of clean and healthy living behaviors in school children in the working area of Indralaya Utara District, Ogan Ilir Regency is still relatively bad, this is accompanied by high knowledge and a positive attitude perspective and facilities and infrastructure that are not by indicators of implementation of clean and healthy living behavior. Suggestions for the school to be able to support clean and healthy living behavior activities for children or school members and complete facilities and infrastructure that do not meet the requirements.
