Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk : (1) Menganalisis pengaruh dan efisiensi penggunaan faktor produksi usahatani mentimun di Desa Tanjung Seteko, (2) Menganalisis seberapa besar pendapatan usahatani mentimun di Desa Tanjung Seteko, dan (3) Mendeskripsi saluran Pema saran yang terjadi dalam pemasaran mentimun di Desa Tanjung Seteko. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Tanjung Seteko Kecamatan Indralaya Kabupaten Ogan Ilir. Pengumpulan data di lokasi penelitian berlangsung pada bulan Februari 2012. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode purposive sampling yaitu metode yang dilakukan secara sengaja terhadap populasi petani yang ada di Desa Tanjung Seteko. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, faktor produksi benih berpengaruh nyata positif terhadap produksi mentimun. Sedangkan pupuk kandang, pestisida, dan tenaga kerja berpengaruh nyata negatif terhadap produksi mentimun. Pupuk NPK dan pupuk SP 36 tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap produksi mentimun. Pada usahatani mentimun, penggunaan faktor produksi benih, dan pupuk SP 36 belum efisien. Sedangkan faktor produksi pupuk kandang, pupuk NPK, pestisida, dan tenaga kerja tidak efisien. Pendapatan yang diperoleh tani dari kegiatan usahatani mentimun adalah sebesar Rp. 9.437.828,89 per tahun dengan R/C sebesar 2,39 (menguntungkan).
