Abstract

Rice is one of the main commodities and foodstuffs for all people in Indonesia. Rice farmers as the main livelihood of most of the people in Gedung Buruk village where they are included in farmer groups and participate in the SERASI program, meaning that farmers understand and are experienced in rice farming and know the programs provided by the government as a form of assistance for farmers in meeting the needs of their farming businesses. The Save Swamp to Welfare the Farmers Program or called SERASI is a program from the Ministry of Agriculture with the main objective of optimizing swampland. The aims of this study were (1) Measuring farmers' perceptions of the SERASI program in Gedung Buruk Village, Muara Belida District, (2) Analyzing the productivity and income of rice farmers in implementing the SERASI program and analyzing the relationship between farmers' perceptions of the SERASI program and the productivity and income of farmers in Gedung Buruk Village, Muara Belida District. The research time was carried out in December 2022. The data collection method uses a survey method by conducting interviews and questionnaires with the number of farmers used as a sample of 40 sample farmers who belong to farmer groups and participate in the SERASI program. The data processing method carried out is the likert scale method as a score measurement, productivity and income analysis, spearman rank correlation analysis between productivity and income with farmers' perceptions of the SERASI program which is tabulated and described descriptively. The results obtained from the following research are (1) Farmers' perceptions of the SERASI program are included in the good category with four question indicators included in the good category (2) The average production or productivity of rice in Gedung Buruk Village is 3.667 Kg/Ha. Meanwhile, the average income earned by farmers in Gedung Buruk Village is Rp14.468.663 Lg/Th (3) There is an insignificant relationship between farmers' perceptions and rice farming productivity with a correlation coefficient value of 0.060 with a very low relationship linkage. There is an insignificant relationship between the perception of farmers and farmers' income with a coefficient value of 0.156 with a very low relationship.
