Abstract

Background Making a complete denture would be difficult without pre-extraction records. Choosing another anatomical landmarks measurement methods are necessary to determine the predictor of teeth width in order to achieve the aesthetics. Interalar width is one of the biometric parameter to determine intercanine tip width of maxilla. AirtL The aim of this study is to knowing the correlation between interalar width with six anterior maxilla teeth width which is measured by intercanine tip width of maxilla in Deutro-Melayu sub races. Material and Methods. This study was a cross-sectional analytic study design. Total sample of the study is 45 Deutro-Melayu sub race samples which are chose with purposive sampling. AU of maxillary anterior teeth sample were mold to obtain their study model for measuring intercanine tip width and then interalar width was measured directly. The measurement tools of them is digital caliper Freder 6" stainless hardened 0-150 mm. Results. The result of this study showed that there were strong correlation between interalar width and intercanine tip width of maxilla in Deutro-Melayu sub race, and the following comparative value of them are 1: 1.04. The data was analyzed by using correlation analysis of Pearson (p<0.05) Conclusion. Based on the result of this study, we may concluded that there was a correlation between interalar width and intercanine tip width of maxilla in Deutro- Melayu sub race with comparative value is 1 : 1.04
