Abstract
4 smile is the mosi importanl pari in Jentoj'aciai aesthetics. Aesthetically smile consist several parts such as the position oj the midline axial angulation. buccal corridor. anu the smile arc. The buccal corridor is the distance between the corner of the mouth and posterior teeth that seen when smiling. Malocclusion is one of the factors that ajfect the size of the buccal corridor. The purpose of this study was lo delermine the size difference buccal corridors on Class I and Class II malocclusion Angle. This research is cross-sectional analytic study. Total sample of this study are 60 subjects (30 subjects class 1 malocclusion Angle group and 30 subjects class II malocclusion Angle group). All samples were photographed using a camera and buccal corridor size measured on photo editor application. Results jrom the study showed that average buccal corridor size on class I malocclusion Angle group is 19.33 and class II malocclusion Angle group is 19.72. Data were tested using unpaired t-test. The test results stated that there was no significant difference in the average size of the buccal corridors in both groups (p> 0.05), although the average size of the buccal corridors on class I malocclusion Angle is smaller than class II malocclusion Angle.
