Abstract
As time goes by, rapid population growth has resulted in pressure on space for residential needs, which then transforms open land into settlements. One way to utilize limited land is by constructing residential buildings such as apartment buildings. Earthquakes are natural phenomena that exert lateral loads on building structures that can result in structural damage to buildings, leading to loss of life due to building components collapsing. Based on this, it is necessary to plan earthquake-resistant building structures by following the planning rules with the Special Moment Resisting Frame System (SMRF). In this study, structural modeling was carried out using the SAP2000 program and SpColumn for column planning. The output data in SAP2000 consists of Mu, Vu, Tu, and Pu, which are then further calculated according to the SMRF guidelines with fc 30 Mpa and fy 400 MPa. The research results obtained two types of beams, namely B1 with dimensions of 30cm x 50cm and B2 with dimensions of 25cm x 30cm. Beam B1 at the end zone uses 5D16 top longitudinal reinforcement, 3D16 bottom longitudinal reinforcement, 2D10 waist reinforcement, and D10-90 stirrups. Beam B1 in the mid zone uses 3D16 top longitudinal reinforcement, 3D16 bottom longitudinal reinforcement, 2D10 waist reinforcement, and D10-200 stirrups. Beam B2 at the end zone uses 3D16 top longitudinal reinforcement, 2D16 bottom longitudinal reinforcement, 2D10 waist reinforcement, and D10-60 stirrups. Beam B2 in the mid zone uses 2D16 top longitudinal reinforcement, 2D16 bottom longitudinal reinforcement, 2D10 waist reinforcement, and D10-120 stirrups. For the columns in the study, there are two types, namely K1 with dimensions of 50cm x 50cm and K2 with dimensions of 40cm x 40cm. Column K1 uses 12D19 longitudinal reinforcement, then with 3D13-100 stirrups at the end zone and 3D13-110 stirrups in the mid zone. Column K2 uses 12D16 longitudinal reinforcement, then with 3D13-80 stirrups at the end zone and 3D13-90 stirrups in the mid zone. In the beam-column joint, the reinforcement used is 3D13-150.
