Abstract
The development of technology information and communication (ICT) has spreaded in many areas of life, with the exception of education field. To overcome the discrepancy in master of this technology, the government, through the Ministry of National Education has established a curriculum includes 2004 and put the subjects of technology information and communication as one of the subjects which there will be present in junior secondary school (SMP) and senior high school (SMA). The evaluation of the implementation to find the problem that occur in learning this subject in Palembang city has not been data yet. This study aims to obtain a picture of the problems that occur in the implementation of the subject and solution that can be taken to overcome them. Two main problems identified are human resources and infrastructure problem. HR problem can be overcome with the opening of the Technology Information Study Program, the training of teachers, and to contribute the Ability of Teaching Program (AKTA IV), whereas for the infrastructure problem can be overcome by the addition of the computer infrastructured by a school or government assistance through the Department of Education.
