Abstract

This research entitled “The Effectiveness of Corporate Social Responsibility in 2017 in improving the image of Pertamina Refinery Unit III (Study of Desa Mandiri Energi in Merbau Village of South Ogan Komering Ulu Regency). The purpose of this research is to see how effective the Desa Mandiri Energi program in improving the image of PT Pertamina Refinery Unit III. This research used a qualitative research method with descriptive data types. The theory used in this study is the theory of effectiveness by Champbell J.P (1989:121) Which sees the effectiveness of a company in implementing its program is seen based on five dimensions, namely success of the program, target success, satisfaction with the program, input and output level, achievement of overall goals. Based on the results of analysis and research in the field, it can be concluded that effectiveness Desa Mandiri Energi program has been carried out by following the theory described, although there are still shortcomings in the implementation of the program. But this does not prevent the running of the Desa Mandiri Energi program in improving the image of PT Pertamina Refinery Unit III.
