Abstract

This study aims to develop a letter bingo game tool for the ability to recognize letters of the alphabet for children aged (5-6) years at Harapan Bunda Prabumulih Kindergarten that is valid and practical. The development model used is the Rowntree which consists of three stages, namely the planning, development, and evaluation stages of Tessmer which consist of self evaluation, expert review, one-to-one evaluation, and small group evaluation stages. Data collection techniques used walkthroughs and observations as well as checklists and data analysis techniques using checklist sheet data analysis and observation data analysis. The results showed that the validity of the material was 92% and the validity of the media was 86%. From the results of the validity of the material and media, it was obtained that an average of 89% was included in the very valid category in the expert review stage or the expert's assessment of the letter bingo game tool. The results from the one-to-one evaluation stage were 89% and the small group evaluation stage was 89%, the two obtained an average of 89% included in the very practical category. Thus, the development of a letter bingo game tool is very valid and practical so that it can be applied in learning activities to recognize letters of the alphabet.
