Abstract
One of the largest traditional markets in Cilegon City that has become the main concern of the city government for rearranging is Kranggot Market. The redesign of the Kranggot Traditional Market aims to create a more organized traditional market in terms of zoning so that shopping activities are more efficient, conditions are clean and orderly, and better in terms of building aesthetics. The current building is in a very chaotic, dirty, stuffy condition, lots of scattered stalls, has a grid circulation pattern, and several zones are not well organized. With these several aspects of the problem, a solution is obtained by applying the approach concept with zoning of similar commodities and radial circulation patterns to provide convenience in shopping. Zoning is arranged based on local similar trade and arranged in a radial pattern, which surrounds a central point in the form of an innercourt and many accesses which are spread evenly in all directions but are connected to each other. In the site design concept, the site is located in a hook position with the shape of the building adjusting the shape of the site to maximize space, and the main circulation is on the south side which functions as a private vehicle route. While the circulation of service and loading dock vehicles is on the east side. The food and non-food zones are divided based on the floor level, the food zone on the 1st floor and the non-food zone on the 2nd floor with the east side being the wet food area and food outlets. The structure used in the building is a steel structure taking into consideration with the span, material efficiency, and the use of local materials. Building utilities use the WWTP system for used water systems from wet stalls, clean water systems from PDAM and drilled wells, the application of innercourt and greening to minimize odors and the impression of slums.
