Abstract

In order to develop the creative industry in palembang city, a media is needed for the industry creative people to obtain knowledge and abilities regarding rather the process or manufacturing of the palembang city’s prior creative industry products. The prior sub sectors of palembang city’s are culinary, wood craft, as well as textile craft. In the process of processing or manufacturing the products, creates some waste with various characteristics. If these waste are not managed properly will possibly pollute the environment. Despite of that, it could also causes some damages such as bad odor, noises, and also the increasing of heat. Therefore, the solutions that can be form are by designing the creative industry education centers in palembang city with spatial planning that pays attention on the waste management from the practical activity. The architectural approach used in solving these problems is with the application of the Zero-Waste concept as a basis design, with a hierachy concept that are reduce, reuse, and recycle. Therefore, by the application of this concept at the Creative Industry Education Center, the spatial planning or prouduct manifacturing is arranged near the TPS 3R and IPAL, the implementation of rain harvesting as a concervation of water resource, solar panel as alternatives energy, natural ventilation system, as well as the sustainable material which is CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) mass timber.
