Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of financial performance on stock returns on property and real estate sub-sector companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange in period 2013-2017. Financial ratios in this study are Return On Equity (ROE). Debt to Equity Ratio (DER). Current Ratio (CR), Total Asset Turnover (TAT), and Earning Per Share (EPS). This research was conducted by using purposive sampling method with the aim to get representative samples according to the specified criteria. The rmmber ofsample.v are 25 companies in the property and real estate sub-sectors with the 2013-2017 study period. The method used to analyze the data is the multiple linear regression analysis method Based on the test results show that the Debt to Equity (DER), Current Ratio (CR), and Earning Per Share (EPS) variables have a negative and insignificant influence on stock returns. Whereas Return On Equity (ROE) and Total Asset Turn.over (TAT) have a positive and insignificant influence on stock returns. The implication of this study is that if investors want to buy issuer's shares, investors need to consider other financial ratios because the five varu:1bles have no significant effect on stock returns of property and real estate companies.
