Abstract
This research was conducted to know the effect of augmented reality-based flashcards on speaking ability in children aged (5-6) years at Panca Karsa Kindergarten, Sukarami District, Palembang. The benefit of this research is to provide knowledge to children related to language development, especially speaking skills. The research method used was Pre-Experiment with the Shot Case Study design and Purposive Sampling technique. The sample studied amounted to 14 children. This study used 3 stages of research procedures including the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the final stage. The data collection technique used in this study is observation. Observations were made in a structured observation using a checklist format. The results of the final test score showed an average value of 81.07 then a t-test was calculated which obtained a t_count value of 3.32 compared to a t_table value of 1.77 which means t_count 3.32 ≥ t_table 1.77 then H0 is rejected and Ha accepted. Thus it can be concluded that flashcards based on augmented reality influence the speaking ability of children aged (5-6) years at Panca Karsa Kindergarten, Sukarami District, Palembang.
