Abstract

This study analyzed the food consumption and food securityat the house hold motorcycles. The research location 10 districtsin the cityof Palembang. The method use disquantitative descriptive with100 respondents. Results of the research that the average expenditure rate of food consumption amounted to 62.2%, while non-food consumption amounted to37.8% of total expenditure. The average consumption of protein andenergywas 1780.2kcal/ person/day and 49.5g/person/day. So the energy a dequacy level of 88.6% and protein sufficiency levelof 89.8%, mean>80AKG. Household food security motorcycle with the proportion of expenditure for food consumption amounted to 62.2% (62.2%>60%) and therate of consumption ofen ergyand protein>80% AKG. This indicates that thefood security of the respondent sare in the position of "vulnerable food"
